Places to Travel
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
South Africa
South Africa is one of the most geographically varied countries of the African continent, comprising territory that ranges from the rolling, fertile plains of the highveld and the wide open savanna of the Eastern Transvaal to the Kalahari desert and the peaks of the Drakensberg Mountains.
While all of its diverse regions offer ample opportunities for adventure travel, the focus in South Africa--as in much of sub-Saharan Africa--is the safari. In addition to possessing two of the world's most renowned wildlife reserves, the Kruger and the Kalahari Gemsbok National Parks, the country contains over a dozen smaller regional parks and reserves. |
Spain
Once a great global empire, an incredible colonial power, Spain stood strong among many countries and ruled territories in many parts of the world throughout history. However, Spain's might of the olden days is now transformed into a country with an unhurried, relaxed environment.
A place that is ever welcoming to travelers from all over the world. Although known for its great sandy beaches, Spain is waiting to be discovered more, from its ice-capped mountains, green lands, arid zones, historical cities' narrow streets, and grand display of art and architecture. |
Egypt
Egypt, at the northeast corner of Africa on the Mediterranean Sea, is bordered on the west by Libya, on the south by the Sudan, and on the east by the Red Sea and Israel. It is nearly one and one-half times the size of Texas.
Egypt is divided into two unequal, extremely arid regions by the landscape's dominant feature, the northward-flowing Nile River. The Nile starts 100 mi (161 km) south of the Mediterranean and fans out to a sea front of 155 mi between the cities of Alexandria and Port Said. |
The Maldives
Unrivaled luxury, stunning white-sand beaches and an amazing underwater world make the Maldives an obvious choice for a true holiday of a lifetime.
Every resort in the Maldives is its own private island, and with over 100 to choose from the only problem is selecting where you want to stay. Great heights of luxury, from personal butlers and private lap pools to in-room massages and pillow menus. |
